State Rep. Elizabeth Poirier today endorsed Beth Lindstrom for U.S. Senate and said she represents the best chance that Republicans have of defeating Senator Elizabeth Warren in the fall.
“Beth Lindstrom is a woman with her own record of success — as a small business owner, as the first female Executive Director of the Massachusetts Republican Party and as Director of Consumer Affairs in Governor Romney’s Cabinet,” said Poirier. “Beth is not an angry rock thrower. She knows how to work collaboratively to make progress for the people she represents.”
Poirier said she was impressed with Lindstrom’s record at Consumer Affairs, where she cut unnecessary regulations and undertook a reform of the auto insurance market that through increased competition among insurers lowered rates for motorists in Massachusetts.
Said Lindstrom: “With the support of people like Rep. Poirier, I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for the people of Massachusetts. I look forward to reaching out to all people of good will to make positive change that will have a real impact on people’s lives.”
Poirier is Minority Whip in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. She lives in North Attleboro and represents the 14th Bristol District, which includes North Attleboro and parts of Attleboro and Mansfield.
Lindstrom is a mother, wife and small business owner. She was the first woman. Executive Director of the Massachusetts Republican Party, and served as the Director of Consumer Affairs in Governor Romney’s Cabinet. She has an MBA from Northeastern University.
