State Rep. Sheila Harrington today endorsed Beth Lindstrom for U.S. Senate, citing her long record of faithful service to the Republican party, her ability to work with people of different political stripes and her record as a small business owner who understands jobs and the economy.
“Beth Lindstrom has been a loyal Republican in good times and bad. She has an open and friendly attitude that can bring people together to solve problems, in contrast to Senator Elizabeth Warren. She also is a business entrepreneur who understands the burden that excessive regulation and high taxes impose on job creators,” said Harrington.
“I’m proud to endorse Beth Lindstrom for U.S. Senate and I look forward to working with her to make progress for the people of Massachusetts,” Harrington added.
Harrington also praised Lindstrom for her consumer advocacy as Director of Consumer Affairs in Governor Romney’s Cabinet, singling out her success in helping to reform auto insurance through free market principles that brought more competition to the marketplace.
Said Lindstrom: “I’m honored to receive Rep. Harrington’s endorsement. While I do not have the typical resume of a political candidate, I do have a lifetime of hard work and experience solving problems and finding solutions. I plan to bring that experience with me to Washington.”
Harrington lives in Groton and represents the First Middlesex District, which includes Ashby, Pepperell, Townsend, Dunstable, Groton and parts of Ayer.
Lindstrom is a mother, wife and small business owner. She was the first woman Executive Director of the Massachusetts Republican Party, and served as the Director of Consumer Affairs in Governor Romney’s Cabinet. She has an MBA from Northeastern University.
